CIMaX chips offer a complete solution for digital TV receiver manufacturers that wish to quickly implement a Common Interface slot in their design. It includes the necessary I/Os, both parallel and seriel, to interface the MPEG Transport stream generated by the receiver demodulator and to daisy chain it through two modules and back it to the demultiplexer/decoder. This simple design ensures a cost-effective and no hassle way of adding CI support to all digital TV receiving devices.
